Everyone who both rents and books on the Deskalot platform is therefore automatically insured through Deskalot.

  • Who is insured when booking with Deskalot?

    With every booking made via the Deskalot platform, both the tenant and the landlord are insured.

  • What are the exceptions that apply to Deskalot’s insurance?

    The exceptions that apply are:

    > Damages arising from activities other than the use of the Deskalot as office space, meeting room and/or desk (flex desk) for intellectual activities, for example:

    – Damages resulting purely from the use of the services of the Deskalot platform, such as advertising, reserving or reviewing the workspace, or the payment of rent or service fees

    – Damages resulting from overnight stay, occupancy, trade, storage or industrial activities

    > Damages resulting from the use of information technology, including damages resulting from:

    – Unauthorised access to or use of an electronic system or program

    – The spread of a computer virus

    – The loss, degradation, unavailability of IT systems, networks or electronic data

    – Inadequate security of data

    > The damage resulting from the non-performance or partial non-performance of the rental agreement, including the failure to show up after a workplace reservation or the cancellation of a reservation

    > The damage resulting from late reservation of the workplace

    > The damage resulting from a breach of the privacy regulations

    > Special contractual commitments entered into by an insured which increase his civil liability as a result of the legal texts

    > Guarantees, execution deadlines, penalty clauses, cancellation fees

    > Damages caused by persons or animals not authorised by the host at the workplace

    > Immaterial damage not resulting from a covered physical or material injury

  • Can I just take someone to a Deskalot room that I have booked?

    That depends on whether the lessor of the Deskalot allows it. If this is allowed (e.g. for meeting rooms), the additional persons are also covered by the Deskalot insurance.

  • Up to what amounts does Deskalot’s insurance cover?

    The guarantee shall be granted, per claim, up to an amount of EUR 2,500,000 without exceeding EUR 750,000 for material damage and immaterial consequential damage combined.

  • How much is the franchise?

    There is no excess for bodily injury. For other covered damages, an excess of €250 per claim remains at the expense of the insured person.
